What another AWESOME Sunday at LifeBridge Church. It is truly an honor to be a part of a church that can see the vision for reaching the next generation and those that do not yet have a relationship with Jesus.
From the opening click of the drum sticks, to the closing reflection song. It was evident that God was in the middle of everything that was happening. We had an emotional tribute to those men and women who have, and are serving in our Armed Forces. If not for those faithful ones, we would not even be able to say the name of Jesus. Much less praise Him. So the next time you see someone in uniform. Make sure you say "Thank You!"
I know of at least two people that have said yes to Jesus today, and I cannot begin to tell you how "pumped up I am!" That is what it is all about. Seeing people whose life is changed forever. Not because of anything that we have done. But because of what Jesus is doing. "Go God".
Our student ministry Summer Camp is coming soon. June 25th. And it is going to be a wild and crazy time. So remember to be praying for our students.
Again, if you would have told me 12 years ago, that I would be working full time in a Church who's heartbeat and passion is for the unchurched. I would have called you a "whack job" Thank you Jesus for allowing me to be a part of some awesome things that you are doing in the world today!!!
Let me know what you thought of today's service!!!
I thought today's service was awesome! The tribute to our military (past & present) was very moving and I've never seen that done before in church - it was truly incredible. It would be great to see more special things like that done - or special music done by folks with that talent.
As far as having great potential. I think folks sometimes don't get involved because they are afraid of failure - but how do you know if you will succeed unless you try. So you serve in a ministry and then find it's not for you......oh well, go on to the next one until you find where God wants you to be. Every regular attender & member of a church - should be serving in a ministry in some way. I suggest that LifeBridge put together a ministry booklet with all the ministries that are currently happening at LifeBridge and list ways that folks can serve in each ministry. Jesus came and served - shouldn't we be following his steps and doing the same??????
Step up to the plate LifeBridgers - serve the Lord with your whole self!
