As many know, that is exactly what the theme for LifeBridge is. "Takin It To The Streets" Today I will be in the classroom of a local middle school with about 40 - 50 students just getting to know them and understand a little more of their world. I don't know what it is, but today too many people seem to be afraid of teenagers. I think there pretty cool!!! 

I also believe that teenagers are just misunderstood. They, at this point in their lives are looking for relationships. Yes, a relationship with adults! They need to know that someone other then their parents, care about them. They also want to know that there is no hidden agenda to why you want to get to know them. Believe me, a student can smell agenda a mile away! You want some tips on working with teens? I operate under the four "C" method.

I often talk to people about having a "Fill" in your life. Something that you do, that refreshes, recharges, reconnects YOU emotionally, spiritually and physically. Let me tell you, this after school club does just that for me. It is a time that I use to NOT focus on "church stuff" Let me let you in on a little secret, I haven't even invited any of them to church!

Maybe you are not called to work with students, but, if you are a Christ follower, you are called to something! We need to do the best we can with what God gives us to accomplish His mission. Just some thoughts, let me know what you think!!!
